Each Russian needlepunched box and beadworked box can take me from 10 days to 14 days to make, from start to finish. That is 80 hours to 114 hours. I am not slow, I make the best quality items I can. The items that are lined are hand-sewn. I bead around the cabochons myself, if one is included for the particular item I make.

All the boxes below are lined in commercial felt. It is thin, making it easier to use. I use #11 seed beads for the beaded boxes. The Russian needlpunch boxes use DMC embroidery thread on a tight fabric. (What a booger it is to find these days!) As you can see, some of my favorite decks are well-dressed and protected. I use snaps to close the boxes that use Russian needlepunch and velcro on the beaded boxes. I feel snaps are too harsh and may break the glass seed beads.

Front of the Housewives Tarot box

Back of the Housewives Tarot box
The front of the Halloween Tarot deck box. This box is for my favorite tarot deck. I used Russian needlepunch for the design. I took the suits' images as my idea for the designs. The back of the Halloween Tarot box. If you noticed, I continued the designs around. I used beads for the eyes on the bottom. The front for the Housewives Tarot deck box. The backs have a red-and-white oil tablecloth design. I carried the concept for the box. I put brooms and mops as the designs. The top of the flap has a mop, broom and duster in beads. This is a very readable deck that makes you smile. The back of the Housewives Tarot box. I used Russian needlepunch for this box.I do love this deck. It is surprising how good it is.

Beaded Tarot Box

Tarot box on the loom
The box front for the DruidCraft Tarot deck. I used the Tree of Life design for this one. The button is a piece of elk horn. I made most of the glass beads on the danglie off the flap. The front is Spring-Summer. The back of the DruidCraft Tarot box. This side is Fall-Winter. I used Russian needlepunch for this box. I gave my step-daughter a tarot deck, Tarot of the White Cats. It needed, of course, a proper cover. I beaded around a glass cab for the flap closure. I use velco on the seed bead tarot bags. I have an fear of the snaps being too harsh and breaking the beads. I do not have a finished photo of this loomed tarot box. I made up the design, using a dragonfly cross-stitch image to include. I made this box for one of my best friends, Stephenie.

My first beadpoint box
Another photo of the dragonfly box on the loom. Oh, I used fishing line and seed beads. I wanted the bag to be strong. It is a booger to work with the fishing line. This is my first, and only, box made using beadpoint. Stupidly, I forgot to measure it before putting it together. Yes, I needed to add a bit of width. It was meant for my Fairy Tale deck.
