   I am selling a few of my tarot boxes, more items will appear this fall. Of course, the boxes could be used for whatever one desired. There will be fulled (felted knitted item) wool bags, book-weights, book protectors... and more items to come. I add beads and more to these items.

   Each Russian needlepunched box and beadworked box can take me from 10 days to 14 days to make, from start to finish. That is 80 hours to 114 hours. I am not slow, I make the best quality items I can. The items that are lined are hand-sewn. I bead around the cabochons myself, if one is included for the particular item I make.

   All the boxes below are lined in commercial felt. It is thin, making it easier to use. I use #11 seed beads for the beaded boxes. The Russian needlpunch boxes use DMC embroidery thread on a tight fabric. (What a booger it is to find these days!) As you can see, some of my favorite decks are well-dressed and protected. I use snaps to close the boxes that use Russian needlepunch and velcro on the beaded boxes. I feel snaps are too harsh and may break the glass seed beads.

I used Russian needlepunch to make this box. It meant to hold my Bright Idea cards. They are tarot-like in concept. All the beads I made myself, even the vampire mouth one! Why the eye? Bright Idea...Eye-dea. Get it? I like puns. A bit.

The back of the Bright Eye-dea box. The shape of this skull is my favorite, it looks almost like a light bulb, which went with the theme of the deck concept. Sort-of.The box can be used with any tarot deck or item that fits, of course.

Front of the Flying Heart box, meant to match the Fairies' Oracle. (Deck by Brian and Wendy Froud) I tried to copy the back of the cards. It was hard to photo because of the dark blue color. It came out pretty nice, at least in person.

The front of the Key Tarot box for meant fot the Fairy Tale deck (Lisa Hunt). I liked my first box for the colors. This one seems too pale. I tried to copy the card-backs in beads as closely as possible.
